Middle School Series

Throughout 2017, IVS will begin to offer three series of course options for Middle School students to help meet specific middle school needs. Our Middle School Series includes:

Learning Recovery Courses - Coming Soon

Learning Recovery courses are self-paced, teacher managed skill building courses designed to help students with knowledge and skill recovery. Students stay on track with peers toward high school.

  • Grades 6,7, and 8 English Language and Math options
  • Enroll anytime and then have 12 weeks to complete the course
  • $85 per enrollment
Bridge Courses - Available June 1

The Bridge courses are self-paced, teacher managed skill building courses targeting students during the summer months to help them prepare for the next grade level. Students start the next school year with secure content knowledge and skills.

  • Grades 6,7, and 8 English Language and Math options
  • Reading Skills and Strategies Bridge is targeted to prepare students for Freshman year
  • Writing Skills and Strategies Bridge is targeted to prepare students for Freshman year
  • Enroll anytime and then have 12 weeks to complete the course
  • $85 per enrollment
Full Service Courses

The Middle School Full Service Courses are full semester (17 Week) course options led by Illinois licensed teachers. Students can be enrolled in one of our Full Service Start Dates scheduled throughout the year.

In addition to our current English/Language Arts, Math, World Cultures, and World Language Survey courses, the IVS Middle School catalog will expand to include new science and social studies courses.The following courses will be available in Fall 2017 (mid-August):

  • US History for Middle School
  • World History for Middle School, and
  • Science options for grades 6,7, and 8.
Middle School Series courses follow the same registration and payment procedures as all IVS courses.
