Danielle Brush Lewis
Asst. Director and Coordinator of Professional Learning Services
Danielle Brush Lewis has been a part of IVS since 2010 and is currently the Coordinator for Professional Development Services. She creates and maintains online professional development courses on a variety of topics for educators in the state of Illinois, as well as provides professional support to IVS faculty and teaching candidates. Danielle also works closely with partner schools that have full class implementations, guiding them through the student account creation and enrollment process to course access to mentor support.
She received her Master's Degree in Instructional Design and Technology in 1998 and Bachelor’s degree and teaching certification in History Education in 1996 from Western Illinois University and has been working with pre-service and practicing teachers ever since through face-to-face and online courses, workshops, and seminars that help teachers design student-centered classrooms that implement the 21st century skills as well as foster the use of technology. She previously served as ROE #26 Technology Coordinator and adjunct faculty for the IDT, EDL, and EIS departments at Western Illinois University. She serves as a committee member of Illinois Education and Technology Conference and has presented locally and nationally on a variety of online learning and technology-related topics.
In her free time, Danielle likes to travel to historical sites and landmarks in the United States and spend time with family and friends.
