How to Enroll in IVS-PD
All PD participants need to create an IVS-PD account before they can request to take a course. Once requested, you will pay the course fee to enroll in the course. You will get access to the course within 12-24 hours after you are enrolled in the course.
Please take the time to read through each step below to get a thorough understanding of the process before accessing the resources provided below the steps defined in its own tab.
Step One: Create an IVS-PD Account
An account is made only once. You will need an email account to create the account and complete the application. Be sure to use email that is checked regularly. Once the account is created and the application submitted, the IVS system will automatically send an email containing your credentials. Look in your inbox for an email from [email protected] Please keep these credentials on file.
Note: Making an IVS account is a two-step process. Be sure to login immediately after creating your username and password to complete the application and associate yourself with the school that you work OR a school near where you live if you are not currently employed by a school. None of your information is shared with the school. It is collected for our internal geographical data only.
Step Two: Request (and Pay) to Take an IVS-PD Course
You will first request a course, and then pay for the course through the ledger. Once the course fee is paid, you will be enrolled in the course.
Note: You will not have immediate access to a course once enrolled. There is a 12-24 hour delay between the time you are enrolled in the course to the time you can access the course.
Pay Online with PayPal
PayPal is enabled to allow electronic payment of course fees. If you are enrolling in a free course, the course request will automatically change to enrolled and no fee will be entered into your ledger.
Pay with School PO
If the school is paying for the course, a school PO should be emailed to Danielle Brush Lewis, PD Coordinator, at [email protected] containing the name of the participant and the selected course. The participant will be enrolled in the course by the PD Coordinator, and then an invoice will be sent to the school for payment.
Note: PD Participants will not have immediate access to a course once enrolled. There is a 12-24 hour delay between the time you register and enroll to the time you can access the course.
Step Three: Prepare Your Computer or Device
Before you start your course, please take some time to prepare your computer or device to ensure that you are using the recommended operating system and supported web browser, allowing pop-ups, and clearing your cache so content will be accessible.
Step Four: Access the Course
Please understand that PD Participants will not have immediate access to a course once enrolled. There is a 12-24 hour delay between the time you are enrolled in the course after paying the course fee to the time you can access the course.
Our course system and information snyc up once around noon and again around midnight. Once they sync, you should have access to your course.
- If you click the Launch Course button and you receive an "unauthorized" message, you are trying to access the course too soon. Try again after Noon or Midnight.
- If you click the Launch Course button and it seems nothing happens, you need to enable pop-ups so that your course will open in a new tab.
